Do you qualify for the trainings?  Make sure you do before registering!  We are not allowed to train anyone who is not eligible to practice the 5-Needle Protocol or Acudetox under their state's laws. In Utah, only health care and mental health licensees who meet the criteria for registration are eligible to take this training.  See https://www.utahacudetox.com/process-for-hcps for details.

This training offers eligible health and mental health professionals working within their current scope of practice to become competent in the provision of the 5-Needle Protocol (5-NP) ear acupuncture also called Acudetox.  Please register as soon as possible. The number of training spots is limited.

POLICIES and PROCEDURES

1.    Registration closes 2 weeks prior to each live training.  BUT Do not register for a training before you have joined POCA and obtained a personal Gmail address. The training manual and other materials can be accessed after you join POCA and you must access the Google Classroom materials with a personal Gmail address.

--Join the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) at the AAT Trainee Level (https://pocacoop.com/join/aat-training/) .

--Obtain or use a personal Gmail account to register and access the Google Classroom materials for the training.  If you do not already have a personal Gmail account, please obtain one here prior to registering for the course so you will not experience a delay in accessing the classroom materials.  

[Note that Gmail accounts (such as business accounts through Google) that do not end in "gmail.com" DO NOT WORK (yes, they should but they don't).] 

--Register for the UtahAcudetox training using YOUR GMAIL address ONLY; otherwise we will cancel your registration and you will need to re-register.

--You will receive a link to the Google Classroom modules in your GMAIL ADDRESS shortly after you register and pay for the training.

--If you have trouble accessing the Google Classroom , let us know immediately so we can troubleshoot. We will be using the Google Classroom in Zoom and other meetings.  You will not be prepared for the training if you cannot access the Google Classroom.

--Registration closes 2 weeks prior to the live training to allow time to complete the required prework.
--Complete ~20 hours of Google Classroom modules before the live training and attend any mandatory virtual (Zoom) introductory meetings. The Google Classroom modules, both days of live instruction, clinical practice, meetings and homework are necessary to complete the full training and practice hours and to be eligible for a certificate as an Auricular Acu-Technician (AAT) through POCA.    

--The training cost will be $410 plus processing fees: $360 for the training at the payment link, plus $50 for required POCA membership at the AAT Trainee Level.  Through September 2027, eligible Utah licensees can be reimbursed for most of the cost once they obtain their AAT certificate from POCA.  You will receive instructions about reimbursement later.

--You are not officially registered for this course until we have received full payment.  

--No refunds will be issued. If you can’t attend this training, we will give you credit for a future training.​
